Hiway 80 Rescue Mission

Meeting Other's Needs

The Hiway 80 Rescue Mission is a local nonprofit answering Jesus' call to help meet the needs of those around us.

Among other things, Hiway 80 Rescue Mission manages a Women's and Family Shelter and a Men's Center.

Last year, Hiway 80 Rescue Mission assisted in the following ways:

  • Served over 46,000 meals
  • Provided over 10,000 nights of lodging
  • Had over 7,000 volunteers to help
  • Over 50 professions of faith in Jesus Christ

The Church at Lake Cherokee volunteers to help the Hiway 80 Rescue Mission through providing and serving food the second Saturday of every other month. The church serves the following hot meal: Lasagna, green beans, corn, fruit, bread and dessert.  To volunteer your time or resources to aid this program, please contact Patrick Peerenboom at Patrick@thechurchatlakecherokee.com
